5 Days, 4 Nights Tour
The wild and untamed Saghro Mountain range offers perfect conditions for trekking away from the tourist crowds. Wherever you trek in this region you will see awe inspiring landscapes; dramatic volcanic pinnacles contrasting against lush oasis of almond and date groves. This beautiful region is inhabited by the Ait Atta tribe, great warriors who are famous for their last stand against the French.

MARRAKECH TO NKOB
Trekking in Jbel Saghro Mountain Rang. 9 o’clock departure in a 4×4 from Marrakesh, making the journey across the High Atlas Mountains and over the famous Tizi-n-Tichka (2260m)
Having crossed the pass, we continue to descend until we finally reach Ait ben haddou where we will stop for lunch. From there you cross another smaller pass, Tizi-n-Tinfifite, before reaching the head of the Dra’a Valley at Agdz. We go off-road along the ancient caravan route between the mountains and the river, passing many villages and gardens so that you can gain a better idea of the way of life along the oases, Overnight at local guest house in Nkob where you will meet your team of muleteers and cook for your Trekking in Saghro Mountain Rang.

NKOB TO IGHAZZOUN N’IMLAS
Departure from Nkob (altitude1030m) by foot or take local transport to Handour, the little village of the oasis. From here you will start the trek through the Saghro, following the Iggy valley. Lunch in Tifdassine. In the afternoon you will pass the Alhyan peak and then make the decent to Ighazzoun n’Imlas (altitude 1290 m) where there is the possibility of spending the night in a bivouac or in the home of locals.

IGHAZZOUN N’ IMLAS (ALTITUDE 1390M) TO IGLI (ALTITUDE 1750) (5 HOUR WALK)
In the morning you make an easy ascent to the rocks tADAWTYE N ‘TEBLAH Tadawte n’ Teblah where you will have lunch. After lunch we pass through Tizi n’tegourte to Igli where you will stay the night in a camp.
Day
IGLI (ALTITUDE 1750M) TO BAB N ALI (ALTITUDE 1380M) (5-6 HOUR WALK)
A walk through the valley of Bouwalouze where you will pass almond fields and small cultivated terraces. Lunch at the gorges. Arrive at Bab n’ Ali and spend the night in a hostel. If there is time you can visit a small waterfall nearby.
Day
BAB N ALI TO NKOB (6 HOUR WALK)
Lunch at Tasawente Nousdidne or in the oasis and continue, passing by some Quartz mines near to Nkob.
