5 Days Marrakech Desert Tour start from your hotel/riad at 8:00am and drive through the High Atlas Mountains. Cross the mountains via the highest road pass in Morocco Tizi n Tichka (2260m. Visit Kasbah Telouet which belonged to the powerful Glaoui. Then you take the main salt road via the Ounila Valley. The route that offers spectacular views of green valleys, river and remarkable coloured slopes and hillsides. On your Morocco Tour visit the amazing UNESCO protected 11th century sight of Kasbah Ait BenHaddou. Lunch either in Telouet or Ait Benhaddou. Take a walk across the river to this Kasbah. Stroll the winding streets to the Kasbah to the upper level for awe inspiring views. Overnight in Ouarzazate in a hotel or a riad.
From Ouarzazate we take the route of the Thousand Kasbahs towards the Skoura Oasis. Take the off road route through the oasis, passing homes of the local people then onwards to the Rose Valley (Kella Mgouna). Lunch in Dades Gorge, a deep gorge of red and mauve rock. Overnight in hotel at Todra Gorge.
Depart Todra Gorge. After Breakfast ,we will take a short walk in the oasis. Later setting off for the journey to the desert, stopping for lunch on the way. Approaching Merzouga you will see the first sand dunes of the desert. There your camels will be waiting for you, to carry you across the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Travel on the back of your camels, or walk during a beautiful sunset. Spend the night in the Nomad tent in the camp in the desert.
Rise early in the morning to watch the sunrise illuminating the desert, after mint tea and breakfast, leave the camp and return to Merzouga on the saddle of your camel to the hotel where you will have a relaxing morning and time to take shower and have lunch. We drive off road around back of the dunes to explore more, learn about the fossils and visit the coal mine. Ending the day watching the sunset at the other side of the dunes. Dinner and night in the hotel.
Depart Merzouga via Erfourd and travel along the scenic Ziz Valley passing many palm groves and green valleys, lunching in Midelt along the way. Travelling through Azrou famous for woodwork and carpets. Near Azrou visit the cedar forests and see the colonies of Barbary Apes. Then your journey will take you to the city of Ifrane, which looks like a Swiss village and is in fact a popular ski resort. Late afternoon arrival to Fes, drop off at your hotel or riad and Marrakech Desert Tour end.
