Desert kingdom was founded when a British tourist fell in love with Morocco. She spent some time exploring the Sahara and felt that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the amazing cultures of southern Morocco. Joining forces with a Berber guide, desert kingdom was born. Our combination of skills, education and background provide a reliable and professional tour company.

Idir was born and raised in Nkob, Zagora province, a wonderful town located in southeast Morocco.
Idir obtained a qualification in tourism guiding and has become an experienced tour guide around the entire province of Ouarzazate, which stretches east through the Dades and Todra Gorges to Merzouga, and as far south as Zagora and the dunes of Erg Chigaga. He loves sharing his knowledge of the local culture and geography about this area of Morocco.
Idir is multi-lingual and can speak the local Berber dialect as well as Moroccan Darija (Moroccan Arabic, commonly spoken across morocco) and Modern Standard Arabic. He is also fluent in both French and English, and can speak a little Spanish.
